Rajagiri reaches out across borders

The ‘Glocal’ nature of today’s business environment demands that students be well-versed in both global as well as local management practices. Taking into cognizance the requirements of today’s competitive job market, Rajagiri International Institute for Education and Research (RIIER) has fostered collaborative partnerships with various Universities of repute across the world. The latest in this series of initiatives is the International Collaboration with the Catholic University of Saint Anthony (UCAM), Murcia, Spain in May 2015. The experiential learning achieved through such initiatives equip students with the skillsets neded to deal with a wide range of situations in a multi-cultural environment. The students are exposed to the latest technologies, business developments and get a first-hand understanding of the global nature of businesses. An international education helps students develop a spirit of diversity and enables them to build networks across borders.

Rajagiri School of Social Work has academic tie ups and collaborations with many overseas Universities. Faculty and students exchange programmes, field placements of students, collaborative researches, publications and joint conferences are planned and implemented through such collaborations. Rajagiri has been having overseas internship programmes since 1997 from Salem State College, Massacheesetts; Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and West Michigan University, USA ; Laval University, Quebec and Moncton University, Canada; Göteborgs Universitet; Lund University; Mid Sweden University and Malmo University, Sweden; University of Co - operative Education at Stuttgart, and Berufsakedemie in Stuttgart, Germany; University of Ghent, Belgium, Zurich University, Switzerland. From 2005 onwards the association has been extended further and exchange programmes take place also with the following Universities;     University of Maryland, School of Social Work, Baltimore, USA; Nazarath College, Rochester, USA; Vives university, Kortrijk, Belgium; Australian Catholic University, Australia; Melbourne University, Australia; Université Catholique de Lille, France; University of Washington, USA; Juniata College, USA; Ryerson University, Canada; Dominican University, Graduate School of Social Work, USA; University of Amsterdam, Holland and the University of Bayreuth, Germany.  Rajagiri students do their field placements overseas in association with the collaborating Universities and also receive extensive exposure in International teaching and learning practices in Social Work. Most of these Universities have ‘India Placement Programme’ in collaboration with Rajagiri College.
